Rosie has been in a foster home for some months, as she required intensive treatment for a skin condition, which is an allergy of some origin. She is looking for an adult home, with at least one other resident dog for company, and someone who is home most of the time, who either doesn’t work or works from home. As our vet has said, Rosie will require a very dedicated owner, as her skin needs lifelong treatment. She is currently on medication and treatments for her separation anxiety as well as her skin condition. The cost of Rosie’s medication and care will cost around £200 a month, which does not include her food or pet insurance. These are pre-existing conditions, and therefore are excluded from any insurance policy the new owner will take out. Rosie was placed into another foster home, but unfortunately did not cope well due to her separation anxiety, and was therefore returned to us. She is particularly partial to chewing door frames when left alone. Rosie’s hands on care is ongoing, and needs to continue alongside the regular input of a vet. Rosie is a French bulldog, with all the health issues you may expect, and would therefore benefit from a home where someone has experience of the breed. She needs around three baths weekly, and both her eyes and ears require treatment as a result of her allergies. Rosie is the sweetest girl you could imagine. She likes two good runs a day, and desperately enjoys saying hi to her regular human and dog friends! If you are interested to know more, then please speak to staff member Emma Abell.
