Happy (also known as Lady Nip Nip) is little chihuahua who came to us as a stray. It was clear to see that she has not been loved for a while. Sadly she was matted, had over grown claws, she also had a bad flea infestation. You can see she has also had a few litters at some point in her little life. We think she is 6 years plus.
With gentle handling and a calm voice, our groomer was able to give her make over. Our groomer is definitely her favourite human at the moment. Seeing the bond they have shows us that in the right home she will blossom with confidence.
She is very worried of humans in her space and is not afraid to let you know. She is small and very feisty when she is uncomfortable. Over the last week she has come on so much, we are very proud of her.
She loves the presence of other dogs, so we are looking for a home with another neutered Chihuahua/s.
She will not be placed in a home with children of any age and will require an adult only home which is calm.
She loves her walks and likes to sniff everywhere. She is definitely not a handbag dog and is not afraid to stretch her legs in the outside world.
Happy had to have her left removed last week due to a luxating lens. She is only just starting to adjust to reduced vision. Although her right eye is currently okay, it is important that any prospective rehomer understand that this eye may too develop the same problem, and require treatment. This may not be covered by insurance, and be classed as a pre-existing condition. Happy is in a temporary foster home with a member of staff, and she is an absolute pleasure, but she is now ready to be rehomed following her post op check with our vet today.
Please do not apply to rehome Happy unless you match the home that she requires.
