Maria is an older lady who arrived at the hotel after being found wandering alone. She is Staffordshire bull terrier cross, she is approximately 8-10 years old.
This lady has such an infectious smile and is always happy to meet new people. In true staffie style she goes straight in for kisses and cuddles.
She was slightly underweight on arrival but we soon fed her up. She absolutely loves her food.
Maria may be an older lady but she certainly has the heart of a puppy. She has a love for the outdoors and zoomies. Belly rubs are her favourite.
After investigation from our vet we have unfortunately determined that the lump on Maria’s foot is a mast cell tumour. We have concluded that the best option for her comfort is not to remove it and allow her to live out her days in palliative care. As of current Maria’s lump does not seem to cause her any pain; she is looking for a family able to offer her love and adventures while keeping in contact with a vet to monitor her condition.
She seems to be an all round good egg who walks well on the lead and does not react to dogs while out on walks. Maria may be suitable to live with other dogs based on introductions. She could also live with children who are bull breed savvy as they can be boisterous when playing.
