Lulu is a 4 year old bull dog. She has a lovely temperament and likes lots of attention. Lulu came into our care due to a change of circumstances with her previous owner. On her arrival, Lulu was very confused and timid.
It was clear to see that Lulu required some vet care for her skin and eyes; it was also noticed that Lulu had slight difficulty with her mobility. On investigation, it was found Lulu had a little ulcer on one of her eyes that required eye drops and frequent medicated baths for her skin. She also suffers from a deformity of the spine and knee issues. Unfortunately, it has been decided that Lulu is not a contender for corrective surgery due to the deformity of her spine. The upside is Lulu is able to live a very chilled and happy life full of love and cuddles.
Lulu is a lover of food, but this will need to be monitored through out her life so as not to put further stress on her joints. Lulu will require regular vet visits to make sure she is comfortable throughout her life.
Her rehoming requirements are a calm home where she is able to relax and enjoy home comforts. We feel she may be able to live happily with older children who will respect her space and who are of a calm manner. Due to Lulu’s needs she will need to be the only dog in the household; but could potentially live with a feline friend. Experience of brachycephalic breeds is essential for any applications submitted.
Lulu is looking for a palliative care home as we are uncertain of how long she will be able to live a comfortable life. At the moment, we do feel that as long as her new humans understand her needs, keep up do date with vet visits and follow any advice that is given on her future, she would make a loving companion who will love life.
