Say hello to Eleanor. This beautiful, young girl arrived in our care after receiving emergency surgery on a broken leg and has since been in recovery. Now that she is well enough, she is ready to find her forever home.
Eleanor has a sweet, goofy personality, is playful, mischievous and loves nothing more than effection and cuddles.
Due to her breed, she will be best suited to an active home with someone who will take her on many exciting adventures and will keep her both physically and mentally stimulated.
She adores other dogs, therefore, would benefit from another well balanced, neutered resident dog of similar size and energy levels to have as a play mate to learn from.
Eleanor will require being enrolled on to training classes to help teach her good basic obedience and socialisation skills with other dogs.
As she has spent the past 5 weeks being cared for 24/7 during her recovery, she has naturally become very attached to people, therefore, she would benefit from having someone home with her whilst she settles into her new life and gradually builds her confidence being left alone.
Her leg is still healing, therefore, her new owners will need to slowly build up her stamina and muscles by gradually introducing light exercise.
She could potentially live with children who are sensible and are experienced with leggy Lurchers. This will be based on introductions at the centre.
Eleanor has endured so much to date in her short life and now deserves a lifetime of care, adventures and experiencing what the world has to offer.
