Please welcome Georgie, a truly handsome German Shepherd who was found alone on Christmas Eve. Georgie is around six years old and is absolutely a gentle giant; he walks beautifully on the lead and is happy to go wherever his people are going. It seems this poor boy has been passed around quite a bit in his life and deserves to finally settle into his forever home. Georgie would make a perfect companion for someone looking to get into the Shepherd breed group as he’s such an easy-going lad.
Georgie would benefit from an active home where he can join his people on plenty of new adventures and expereinces. He does struggle a little with being in his kennel for a long time so a large secure garden will be a must so he can stretch his legs through the day. George will also need his long coat to be groomed daily to keep the shedding to a minimum. He is very well behaved for this and does love a good scratch with the brush!
Georgie may be able to live with children of any age who are respectful of dogs’ space. He passes other dogs beautifully on walks and may like a neutered friend of a similar temperament. These introductions will be carried out at the centre under staff supervision to ensure everyone in the household gets on well. Georgie has passed a cat test at the centre and may be able to live with a calm resident feline.
