Andy

Meet Andy! This handsome chap was brought into us as a stray, no one has come forward to claim him so he is now looking for his forever home. We believe that Andy is around 2-3 years old and is a possible dachshund/terrier mix. When Andy came into us, he was quite nervous and he is finding it hard to adjust to kennel life . He would like nothing more than a comfy sofa to curl up on.

Andy is a playful little lad and enjoys long walks with our volunteers , he will stop for lots of cuddles along the way! He can take a little time to trust people so will need lots of reassurance so he can build bonds with you . Andy’s breed mix has a lot of energy and he would love to be taken to training classes to fulfill  his needs and help him feel more confident in the big wide world!

Andy has a long coat that will need regular brushing and trimming to upkeep his silky locks! He is not the biggest fan of brushing or hairdryers so will need some work on desensitising these things to him so he feels more comfortable around them.

He could possibly live with other neutered dogs, cats and calm children that respect his boundaries, all depending on introductions done at the centre.
