Meet our lovely little Bonnie! Bonnie is a 2-3 year old pocket bully. She was brought into us as a stray. This poor girl was extremely skinny, shut down and confused as to where she was. It is clear that Bonnie has been mistreated in the past.
However since being at the home she has come on leaps and bounds, Bonnie is nervous in the kennels but once those little paws step out for a walk her confidence bounces back! Bonnie can be wary of people on first meets, she is very expressive in her body language and will tell you when something is too much for her! For this reason, she will require multiple meets to build bonds and trust before going home with you.
Once Bonnie trusts you, she is the most affectionate little girl. She will crawl up onto your lap for kisses and cuddles and make funny noises when she is enjoying scratches in her favourite spots. She loves going on long walks with our volunteers and is an avid sniffer dog! She will need some help to build her confidence in the outside world but it shouldn’t take long as she is always keen to get out into the open!
Bonnie has passed her cat test, she could also benefit from a calm neutered resident dog based on introductions done at the centre. we believe having another dog around could build her confidence up. She may be suitable to live with older children 16+ that know how to listen to her body language and respect her space.
Bonnie will need to attend training classes to help build her confidence, social skills and fulfill her needs. She will need owners that can be around a lot of the time to help her on this next journey!
If your application is successful you will be invited to meet Bonnie. If you do not hear anything within 7 days please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion. Due to the high volume of applications we receive we are unable to respond to everyone.
