Introducing our newest princess , Chica the staffy x ! This little lady was brought into us as a stray… She was found by a member of the public, the poor girl had been tied up to a fence and carelessly abandoned to fend for herself. Chica came into us in quite a state- as you can see, she was riddled with fleas, missing so much fur , had overgrown nails & was very underweight. She is now flea free, gaining weight and her fur is growing back day by day. She is currently on medication for her skin & is showing great improvements.
Despite Chica being clearly neglected in her past, she has the most loving nature. The first few days Chica was with us , she was quite shut down and didn’t understand that humans are meant to care and love her. Since the team and volunteers have been giving her time, love and affection she has shown us all what a wonderful, happy girl she can be . She can put a smile on your face no matter the day, and has the cutest zoomies to show you how happy you make her!
Chica is 11 months old , she has clearly never known a loving home, so will need owners that can take the time to show her that humans and the world aren’t so scary . They will need to support her in getting basic training, socialisation skills and help continue to get her coat and skin back on track.
Chica could possibly live with other dogs, cats and dog savvy children that understand she needs a peaceful life to thrive. These will all be depending on introductions done at the centre.
