This adorable potato is Sidney, a young Bully who came into our care as a stray. Upon arrival, it was observed that Sidney was having difficulty bearing weight on his hind leg. After seeking veterinary advice, it was determined that Sidney had an old leg injury requiring surgery to ensure his future growth and development would not be affected. Following the surgery, Sidney is recovering well and showing great resilience. He is on the path to a speedy recovery. During his recovery period, Sidney will remain with us and we will follow veterinary advice, we hope his new family will patiently wait for him. He will have the opportunity to spend time with his future humans at the center. Once the vet gives the green light, he will be able to go home and complete his recovery. Sidney needs a quiet and calm environment for his recovery. It is crucial for him to have the best chance at healing. Once fully healed, he will be able to enjoy life to the fullest – going on adventures, playing with other dogs, and meeting new people. Sidney is a social butterfly who craves love and consistency. Sidney is seeking a peaceful, pet-free home as he cannot interact with other dogs until he is fully healed. While we would love for him to have a furry friend, it is not in his best interest at the moment. Our goal is for him to heal first, and then he can have all the canine companions he desires to play and run wild with. Like all rescue dogs, we highly recommend enrolling Sidney in training classes to help boost his confidence and learn new skills.
