Please welcome to the hotel our newest resident Nikita. This beautiful girl is an Akita mix and she is aproxinately 2 years old. She arrived in our care after a change of circumstances.
On arrival, Nikita was understandably worried about her new environment and carers.
Given some time, Nikita has now started to settle in and is gradually coming out of her shell, she enjoys her walks and once she is comfortable with you, Nikita absolutely loves a fuss.
She is still aloof and sometimes cautious of new people and surroundings. Slow and steady is the way to her heart.
Nikita has shown intetest in other dogs and displays excitement behaviours. Continuous work on her socialisation will be beneficial for her to be the best girl she can be.
Nikita would be best suited to an adult only home with people who have good knowledge or Northern breed experience.
Her new owners will need to be understanding and patient by allowing Nikita to build her trust and settle into her new home life in her own time.
Nikita would benefit from being enrolled onto basic obedience classes to help teach her some life skills, build her confidence and bond with her family.
Once established, Nikita would thrive being introduced to a canine sport to fullfil her breeds needs and keep her both mentally and physically stimulated.
Being long coated means daily grooming to help maintain her beautiful locks and keep it matt free.
All introductions will be carried out at the centre.
