Say hello to Ruby-Roo, our gorgeous 4–5 month old Staffy cross. This little sweetheart was sadly handed in to a vet as a stray with no chip or collar at such a young age. But Ruby is ready to put her past behind her and begin the next chapter in a loving forever home.
Ruby has been lucky enough to spend time in foster care, where she’s been enjoying home comforts instead of kennels. She adores snuggling up on the sofa and loves nothing more than a proper cwtch.
It’s clear that Ruby hasn’t been taught much in her short life so far, which is such a shame because she is incredibly bright. Training with her is an absolute joy – she’s picking up new tricks at lightning speed and would likely excel in obedience or even scent work. She would also benefit from being enrolled on to training classes, this will help Ruby and her family with the bonding process and learn from each other. Her toilet training is coming along brilliantly too; she sleeps clean through the night and is sometimes a little too cosy to get up for her morning wee!
Ruby can be a little shy with new people at first, but it doesn’t take long to win her over. She craves human comfort and, as a young pup, she is understandably nervous about being left alone. For this reason, she will need a home where someone is around most of the time and can gently build her confidence with short periods apart.
She is really enjoying her puppy walks, using her nose to sniff out all the exciting new smells. While loud or unusual noises can startle her, her confidence is growing daily. Ruby is already nudging her harness to let you know she’s ready for walkies – so she’ll be happiest in an active household that loves the outdoors as much as she does.
Ruby would love to have a older canine friend to share her life with, one that has a good balance of play and teach.
sensible older children who understand Bully breeds, and even dog-savvy cats – all depending on successful introductions.
Ruby-Roo is looking for a family to give her the love, guidance and security every pup deserves. Could that be you?
