Hi there! My name is Ricky, and I’m around 9 weeks old. I’ve had a bit of a tough start in life, but I’m a brave, bouncy little boy with a big heart who’s ready to find my forever family.
I’m hoping to find an experienced and patient home, ideally with an older family – because sometimes I get a little too excited and forget just how sharp my tiny puppy teeth are! I don’t mean to, I promise – I’m just still learning my manners.
I’ll admit, I’m still a little unsure around men, but I’m getting more confident every day. With patience and gentle handling, I’m learning that men can be friends too. My confidence is growing, and I’m slowly getting used to meeting new people — I’m learning that strangers aren’t all enemies. Once I feel safe, I’m all about cuddles, playtime, and tail wags.
Because of my difficult start, I tend to form strong attachment bonds quite quickly – I just want to feel safe and loved after everything I’ve been through. With gentle reassurance and consistency, I’ll learn that my new family isn’t going anywhere, and I can truly relax and be myself.
🌟 A few things about me:
I am crate trained and sleep peacefully through the night.
I’m great in the car – I settle quickly and travel really well.
I have lovely manners and will wait patiently for my dinner until I’m told it’s time.
I already know how to sit and lie down – I love to learn!
I’m doing really well with my toilet training and will go outside most of the time, though I’ve still had an accident or two (I am still a baby, after all).
I live with a cat – she’s not quite my friend yet, as I really want her to play with me, but I’m trying my best to win her over.
I could potentially live with other neutered dogs who are calm, friendly, and able to help me learn and progress through life.
I would really benefit from attending training classes to help me build confidence, learn new skills, and continue growing into the best boy I can be.
Because of my tough start, I’ve been diagnosed with a vitamin D and calcium deficiency, so I’ll need to stay on good quality puppy food and take supplements to support my growth and keep me strong and healthy. My new family will need to continue this as I grow.
I’m looking for a calm and loving home where I can keep learning, growing, and feeling safe. With time, patience, and care, I’ll become the loyal and loving best friend you’ve been searching for.
If you think you could be my forever family, please get in touch – I can’t wait to meet you and start my new life full of love, training, and adventures.
Love,
Ricky
