Smudge

Introducing the handsome Smudge — a gorgeous 8-year-old Staffy x Shar Pei who came into our care as a “fake stray.” Despite his rough start, Smudge has proven to be an absolute sweetheart who craves affection from his trusted humans. He may be 8, but he certainly doesn’t act it — this boy still has the playful energy of a puppy!

Smudge loves his long adventures with our volunteers, taking in all the sights and smells along the way. He recently enjoyed a trip to the Collar Club, where he had the best time zooming around the secure field, munching on treats, and soaking up cuddles.

He’s a very affectionate lad who adores human company and will make a wonderful companion for someone who enjoys long walks followed by cosy cuddles on the sofa. Smudge can struggle a little when left alone, so he’s looking for a home where someone is around most of the time while he continues to work on his confidence and training.

Smudge has shown good manners and social skills with other dogs, and could potentially live with friendly dogs, children of any age, or cats, depending on successful introductions at the centre.

Smudge truly is a bundle of love and fun, ready to bring warmth and joy to his forever home.
