Milo – 9–10 Year Old Staffie Mix
Milo is a mature gentleman who arrived in our care through no fault of his own. At around 9–10 years old, he still has the energy and enthusiasm of a puppy and is ready to enjoy the next chapter of his life.
Milo loves to play, cuddle and explore. He is full of beans and always makes the most out of every walk, happily following his nose to discover new scents. Nothing fazes him, and he especially loves a good roll in the grass. Honestly, Milo would walk all day if you let him! He is a loyal boy who loves being by your side and sharing adventures.
Understandably, Milo was a little worried when he first arrived, wearing a nervous collar as he needed some space to adjust. Since then, he has completely come out of his shell. The worried boy we first met is gone – Milo is like a whole new dog, thriving, confident, and absolutely loving life with us.
He has been with us for several months now with very little interest, which is heartbreaking because Milo has so much love to give. While he enjoys his walks and the company of our volunteers, kennel life can never replace a real home. Milo deserves a sofa to call his own, the comfort of his own people, and a home where he can truly relax and belong.
Milo is affectionate in true Staffie style, showing love by sitting on your foot or turning around for a good bum scratch – his absolute favourite! He has been particularly fond of his female companion, Dumpling, so we would consider homes with a calm, neutered female dog.
He would also benefit from basic training classes to maintain his skills and continue learning.
Milo is looking for an adult-only home where he can settle at his own pace and continue building his confidence. He isn’t fazed by cars, bikes, or other dogs on his walks and is a proud member of the “good boys club.”
This is a boy who has waited too long. Milo has transformed into a joyful, playful, loyal, and loving companion, and now he just needs the right home to share his life and adventures with. He truly deserves the happy ending he has been waiting for.
