Beautiful Stitch is a young Frenchie/Bully mix, approximately 10 months old.
She has found herself back at the centre after her previous home was not the right match, as she proved to be too much for the resident dog and struggled with boundaries.
Stitch could enjoy canine friends outside of the home and benefit from regular playdates, however she would prefer to be the only “princess” in her household so she can fully focus on her training and continued development around sharing and boundaries.
She is still very young and has already learned so much during her time with us, both at the centre and in a home environment. Stitch is a great little walker who loves to explore, and she is highly food motivated, which has been incredibly helpful in her training. She enjoys learning new skills, building focus, and working for rewards.
Stitch is very much still a baby who has missed out on key early experiences in life. Because of this, she can struggle with boundaries and may become frustrated when settling into new environments. She will need a calm, consistent and experienced home to help her feel secure and guide her in the right direction.
Stitch will only be suitable for a home with puppy and bully breed experience. This is essential and very important. Bull breeds can be strong-minded and determined, and Stitch is very much “up there” with typical traits. She is not for the faint-hearted, but she will reward her people with endless love, fun, and laughter. She needs a home that understands and appreciates her for who she is, including her quirks and personality.
Enrichment and brain-stimulating activities will be very important for Stitch, helping to redirect frustration and support her emotional regulation. Items such as filled Kongs, lick mats, and structured toy swaps will all be beneficial.
Tug play is not suitable for Stitch unless her handlers are experienced and able to keep it calm, structured, and fully controlled, as she can become over-aroused.
She will need a home where someone is around most of the time, as this will help her continue building confidence, routine, and training. Stitch is looking for a child-free home so she can receive the focused guidance and consistency she requires.
Despite her challenges, Stitch is a fun-loving, affectionate whirlwind who adores cuddles and human connection. She would be an excellent candidate for reward-based training classes and would thrive with ongoing learning and structure.
She has settled into kennel life as best she can, but she is ready for a committed, experienced home where she can truly flourish and become the amazing dog she is meant to be.
