Ted is a bulldog mix, around 18 months old, and a true big hunk of love. He arrived in our care as a worried stray, unsure of the world around him. With time, patience and kindness, Ted has grown in confidence and is now showing his lovely, affectionate personality.
Ted is a happy, loving lad who adores human company. Bum scratches are high on his list of favourite things, and once he trusts you, he gives his whole heart. He’s gentle, affectionate, and still learning how wonderful life can be.
Ted can still be a little worried by loud noises and fast movements, so he will need a calm, understanding home that can offer reassurance when things feel overwhelming. He responds beautifully to kindness, consistency and gentle handling.
Ted would suit a slower-paced home, where he can continue to build confidence at his own speed. He enjoys learning new skills and would benefit from gentle, force-free training classes, along with brain stimulation and enrichment to keep his mind active and engaged.
As a bulldog mix, Ted will need regular care to keep his face clean and sore-free, which he copes well with when handled calmly and kindly.
Ted may be able to live with neutered canine friends, following slow and sensible introductions. He may also be able to live with cats, and with calm, respectful children who understand giving him space and moving gently around him.
Ted is still very young and has so much love to give. He’s looking for a patient, kind family who will continue his journey and show him that life can be safe, calm and full of love. In return, Ted will offer unwavering affection and a heart full of loyalty.
