Samson
Meet our handsome boy Samson, a beautiful mature Collie with the most striking different coloured eyes. This lovely lad arrived in our care as a stray and is now searching for a forever home where he can truly thrive.
Samson is a sweet natured boy who absolutely loves getting out for long walks, taking in all the sights and spending plenty of time following his nose. A good sniff is one of his favourite pastimes, and he’s happiest when he’s out exploring with his favourite people.
Samson is currently working on his dog socialisation skills and would benefit from continuing this with positive reward based training classes. For now, he is looking for a dog free home, although we feel he could potentially enjoy having canine friends out on walks once he has been introduced slowly and appropriately.
As you would expect from a Collie, Samson is an active and intelligent boy who will need plenty of mental and physical stimulation. Collie games, enrichment activities and workshops would be a fantastic way to keep his clever mind busy. He would love a home with people who understand the breed and are ready to embrace everything that makes Collies so special.
His beautiful coat will require regular maintenance to keep it looking its best, and we feel he would be happiest in a home where someone is around for most of the time while he settles in.
Due to his enthusiasm and eagerness, we feel Samson could potentially live with sensible children aged 16+ following successful meets at the centre.
