Meet Sindy!
Sindy is a beautiful 4-year-old Poodle mix who arrived in our care feeling completely shut down and unsure of the world around her. It was clear that life hadn’t always been kind to her and that she hadn’t experienced much positive love or guidance.
Fast forward to today and Sindy is like a different dog! Her personality has blossomed, and she is now a happy, playful girl who loves life. She enjoys her walks, loves exploring new places and can often be found having zoomies and playing when she’s feeling excited. Despite being 4 years old, Sindy still has the heart and enthusiasm of a puppy.
Sindy walks beautifully on the lead and enjoys taking in all the sights and smells on her adventures. While she can be a little reserved when meeting new people, she usually only needs a few minutes before her confidence shines through and her friendly nature takes over. She can still be shy at times and may become worried by sudden movements, so she will benefit from patient adopters who can help build her confidence at her own pace. Once Sindy feels comfortable and secure, her crazy, happy personality really shines through and she becomes a fun-loving, affectionate companion.
As a Poodle mix, Sindy will require regular coat maintenance, including daily brushing and professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks to keep her coat healthy and comfortable.
We feel Sindy could potentially live with other neutered dogs and cats, subject to successful introductions at the centre.
Sindy is looking for a quiet adult-only home with a consistent routine to help her continue settling into family life. Having had a difficult start, she will benefit from patient adopters who can give her the time and space she needs to fully adjust and flourish. A calm environment, gentle handling and predictable routine will help Sindy continue to grow in confidence and show her wonderful personality.
Training classes would also be a great way to build a strong bond with her new family and help her adjust to her exciting new future.
If you’re looking for a sweet, affectionate girl who has overcome a difficult start in life and is ready to embrace all the love the world has to offer, Sindy could be the perfect addition to your family.
