Introducing little miss pretty Pebbles! Pebbles was brought into our care as a stray and she is now looking for her forever home.
When pebbles first arrived with us she was very shut down, she spent a few days staying in her bed in the back of her kennel. She took a few days to come around , slowly but surely she started to trust us and would climb in our laps for gentle cuddles and fuss. Over the coming days she came around more and started to play with us and get the zoomies which was great to see !
Pebbles is growing in confidence every day, she has spent some time in the office with her dachshund friend, Otis and they had a lovely time together. Pebbles would likely benefit from having a resident canine friend to help show her the ropes of life ! Whilst pebbles spent time in the office she showed some reactivity to unknown people appearing at the window, so it is likely she will do this in a house and her new owners will need to work on confidence on new people and greeting them too.
At first pebbles was very nervous on walks, but her confidence has grown and she is loving going out with our volunteers. She likes a slow and long plod , sniffing everything in sight in true Daxie fashion . She will sometimes ask to be picked up for cuddles if her confidence drops but will soon ask to go down again when she gets her confidence back. pebbles is such a loving dog , once she trusts you she will curl up into you for kisses and cuddles and make sweet Daxie noises of affection.
Pebbles is currently looking for an adult only home with a resident canine friend, she could also potentially live with cats depending on intros done at the centre .
