We are very sad to welcome our big boy back to the centre. Lemmy has unfortunately been returned to us, he sadly wasn’t getting on with skip in the home and it was the safest and best option for them to bring him back whilst Skip could still stay in a home. They were getting on like usual outside of the house and being best pals, but sadly Lemmy didn’t want to share his indoor space with him. Luckily, Lemmy isn’t that bothered about being back and was very excited to see all his best pals & has started making some new dog pals too.

Lemmy is such a sweet and loving boy, he has a gentle nature and once he has built trust with you the affection is never ending. He has a very playful way about him & unfortunately for his human friends he doesn’t know his own size! He likes to put his paws on your shoulders and give you a big kiss. Lemmy is still learning that the outside world isn’t super scary, but is making great progress and now just needs a home to call his own to grow in confidence indefinitely! He has been going on solo walks and walks with his doggie pals at the centre and has been gaining confidence every day, it is lovely to see.

Lemmy is now looking for a dog free home but it is very important that his new owners have friends or family with dogs so that he can continue to socialise and enjoy play dates and walks with them- or his new owners will need to commit to taking him to appropriate socialisation classes so he still gets his dog fix!

Lemmy is a Caucasian shepherd, an extra large livestock guardian breed. He is looking for a home that have experience with his breed or similar and are able to work with his breed traits to keep him happy and fulfilled ! He would benefit from training classes to help him build in confidence , learn life skills and continue to thrive.
