Hello, I'm Pickle

Meet our handsome boy Pickle!

Pickle is a young Bulldog who is approximately four years old and is now looking for a loving home where he can continue to grow in confidence and enjoy all the good things life has to offer.

When Pickle first arrived with us, he was in quite a poor condition, particularly with his skin. He is currently having medicated baths to help soothe and improve his skin, and thankfully he is looking much better already. As he was left for so long without the care he needed, he may require ongoing skin care throughout his life, and his new family will need to be prepared for this.

Pickle can be a little nervous when it comes to certain types of handling, but he is making lovely progress. With patience, consistency and plenty of positive experiences, his confidence is growing all the time.

He is turning into a real little love bug! He enjoys his walks, loves exploring and, of course, is a big fan of food! He is slowly getting to know new people and, as his confidence grows, we’re seeing more and more of that wonderful Bulldog personality coming through.

Once he knows you, Pickle is more than happy to enjoy some fuss and absolutely loves a good bum scratch!

Pickle would be best suited to a quiet, adult-only home where his new family can give him the time, patience and consistency he needs to overcome his worries around handling. His adopters will need to understand that building his confidence will be a gradual process and that he should never be rushed.

He could potentially live with another calm, neutered dog, subject to successful introductions. He may also be able to live with cats, again depending on introductions and individual suitability.

All introductions will take place at the centre.

Pickle has already come such a long way, and we can’t wait to see him continue to blossom with a family who understands him and gives him the time he deserves.
