Introducing Seb the three year old German shepherd, otherwise known sebby, Sebastian, sebasaurus & sebilicious!
Seb was brought into our care after being found as a stray. Not long after he arrived it prevailed that he had been rehomed to a rogue rescue and had clearly been passed around . He was found covered in faeces and feeling very sorry for himself .
Seb is such a sweet boy with a typical GSD nature. His favourite thing in the world is a tennis ball and he would do anything for it! Seb is such a smart lad , he already knows ‘down’ ‘sit’ ‘speak’ & ‘paw’ and he is eager to learn new tricks every day! He loves a snuffle mat but don’t think he’ll take his time , he likes to pick it up, throw it around and make a treat party!
Seb loves going on long walks with our volunteers , taking in all the sights and smells of the world . Once Seb builds a bond with you, he likes to stop on his walks for some people watching and butt scratches and will cuddle into you for some fuss . He would be a great hiking buddy!
Seb is unfortunately dog reactive , this is a mixture of frustration and conflict seeking and he is working on this with the behaviour team and making small improvements each day. He is easily distracted from other dogs out and about and with time and training we are sure he can learn that dogs are his pals! Seb has also shown some resource guarding around his food bowl, he is working on this and is making incredible progress.
Seb is looking for experienced dog owners that will show him the love that he deserves . He would love to take up a sport like obedience or scent work to keep his working brain busy and his new owners will need to to take him to training classes to continue to work on his behaviour . He is currently looking for a pet & child free home to help him settle in the best way possible, could you be sebs forver family?
