Aksel
Introducing Aksel.
Unfortunately, our best boy has been returned into our care due to his struggles with overstimulation not being right for the family he was matched with.
Aksel is such a bright boy however, he can get overwhelmed at times and being a bully, he reverts to mouthing.
He has started working with our behaviour team to learn how to redirect his energy onto more positive outlets and is showing great improvement.
With consistent training and
proper mental and physical stimulation, these behaviours seem to reduce. This being the case, we feel confident that in time, he will no longer display these unwanted behaviours.
Aksel is a super friendly lad, who absolutely loves his walks with our volunteers and is such a good boy for them.
He also enjoys going back to the garden after a walk to play his favourite game of tug of war and have a good old cwtch.
He is a lover of all things food related and has no qualms about other dogs, even if they are shouting at him. This boy is not bothered at all!
He is looking for an adult only home with people who have bull breed experience and can give him the stimulation and training he requires.
He could potentially live with resident neutered dogs and cats. This will all be based on controlled introductions here at the centre.
