Meet Princess Penelope.
Penelope is a 10-year-old Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross French Bulldog who found herself in our care due to a change in her previous owner’s circumstances.
When she arrived, poor Penelope was underweight and suffering from a flea allergy, and she’s also partially sighted in one eye due to age-related cloudiness. After receiving the veterinary care and treatment she needed, along with a tailored diet plan, she’s now feeling so much better — and looking fabulous!
Affectionately known as Princess Penelope, she truly is a delight. She has the most perfect manners and lives life to the fullest. Penelope gets along wonderfully with both humans and other dogs, making her the ideal companion. She adores being around people, so she’s best suited to a home where her humans are around most of the time — she loves to be close to her friends.
Despite her age, Penelope is still full of life! She’s active, playful, and would thrive in a home where she can run, gallop, and go on adventures. She loves her food, cuddles, and a bit of fun! She’d likely enjoy the challenge of joining a training or enrichment class to keep her clever mind busy.
Penelope could potentially live with children of all ages and other neutered dogs, depending on successful introductions at the centre. We’d also be happy to introduce her to any resident cats.
She walks beautifully on the lead, isn’t phased by passing traffic or bikes, and travels very well in the car.
Penelope really is a superstar — a loving, loyal girl who’s ready to find her happily ever after.
