Candy is a 2-year-old Staffy mix who came into our care as a stray.
Candy is a confident girl who is learning more about the world every day and taking everything in her stride. It’s been lovely to see her confidence grow and her personality shine brighter with each new experience.
Candy absolutely loves people and enjoys spending time with everyone she meets. She has formed strong bonds with our walkers and thrives on human affection. Her cutest ears are always on display, especially when she’s excited to see her favourite people.
Candy walks well on the lead and knows a lovely sit. She may be a little excited at the start of a walk, but she soon settles and walks nicely. She passes other dogs well, provided they don’t shout or react towards her.
She is continuing to work on her social skills with other dogs alongside our behaviour team. Candy is learning that play is much more fun when shared and is also practising how to share her toys, making steady and positive progress.
Candy has a playful side and loves to play fetch — a tennis ball is her idea of a perfect day.
Candy will need calm, confident handlers who are happy to continue her training and build on the great foundations she already has.
Candy is looking for a quiet, calm home where she can keep growing in confidence and enjoying life. Once settled, we would highly recommend force-free training classes to support her learning further.
Candy is seeking a child-free and dog-free home, where she can soak up all the love and attention she deserves.
