Ozzy
Say hello to our handsome boy Ozzy, an 8 month old Yorkshire Terrier cross.
This poor lad came into our care as a stray but was then signed over to our care.
On arrival, we realised that he had a bad leg and sadly, it was a complete fracture that had been left for around a month and was unsalvageable so he had to have it amputated.
Luckily Ozzy hasn’t let this stop him and is recovering extremely well He was up and walking around the office by day two like he’d always had three legs.
Ozzy is very good for being such a young pup and is currently our office dog. He spends most the day snoozing, if he’s not having a play with his stuffed toys. His favourite is his giant carrot toy that he also uses for a pillow.
He would be the perfect dog for someone that works from home as he likes to curl up next to you on the computer and will be a great adventure buddy once he is all healed as he is full of beans.
Ozzy could potentially live with other neutered resident dogs however, he has shown some resource guarding towards them with his toys therefore, his owners will need to be able to manage this behaviour and help him with training.
It would be beneficial for him to attend puppy classes to help him build on general life skills and grow into a well balanced dog.
Ozzy could also live with children and dog savvy cats. This will all be based on controlled introductions done at the centre.
