Bagel
Approximately 3 years old
Bagel is a beautiful boy who hasn’t always had the kindest start. His ears were cruelly cropped before he came to us — something that should never have happened — but thankfully they’ve healed well and he isn’t in any pain. They’ll just need gentle weekly cleaning to keep them healthy.
When Bagel first arrived, he was understandably worried and unsure. Underneath that though was the sweetest soul, just waiting to feel safe. Now that he’s settled, his loving, happy personality is shining through. He absolutely adores affection and will lean right into you for fusses — especially if you’ve discovered his favourite spot for bum scratches.
He enjoys getting out and about on adventures and seems to take the world in his stride. He can be strong on the lead, but he’s learning well and shows lovely focus when working with his handlers. He wants to please — he just needs someone to guide him with patience and consistency.
Bagel would really benefit from training classes, not just for skills but to help him build a strong, trusting bond with his forever person. Consistency will be key to helping him feel secure and settled.
He could potentially live with a calm, neutered female dog, pending introductions.
A home with older children (10+) may be considered, depending on the overall environment of the home.
Bagel is a big softie at heart — a boy who will give you loyalty, warmth and so much love once he knows he’s home. He’s ready for someone to choose him forever.
