Introducing our little bundle of fun, Benny! Benny is a 5 year old crossbreed that was brought into our care as a sign over , after his owner could no longer support his needs anymore.
Benny is such a lovely, happy go lucky kinda guy! He is always happy to greet his humans with a ‘wooo wooo’ and likes to jump into your lap for some cuddles. Benny can be a little bit nervous at first but after a few treats he will be your pal forever . He absolutely loves his walks with our volunteers and is always raring to go ! He likes to get his daily sniff count in and could go for hours!
In his last home it was noted that Benny would guard some rooms and his food bowl/chews. We have not seen this in the kennels, however an environment change can change a dogs behaviour so this is not to say he won’t do it again in a home. His new owners will need to have the space to manage this so he is able to be fed separately and it would be beneficial to start training classes with him once settled so he can continue to build on skills to help him with this.
Benny shows no signs of separation anxiety, is wonderful at the vets , great with people and indifferent to most dogs – he can sometimes have a little bark at larger dogs but this seems to be out of frustration. Benny would make a great adventure buddy for someone ! He is currently looking for an adult only home but could potentially live with a dog of a similar size and cats depending on intros done at the centre.
