Meet Ted (white and tan), a Cavachon/Jack Russell–type mix, and Poppy (black and grey), a Yorkie/Chihuahua–type mix. These two adorable youngsters arrived in our care as strays and were sadly never claimed. They are now looking for a loving home together.
Both are still missing their home comforts but are beginning to show their lovely personalities. Ted is a fun, outgoing boy who is full of life. He loves his walks and greets people with enthusiasm, often doing a little “dance” when he’s excited to say hello. Ted will require regular grooming every 8 weeks to keep his coat in good condition, and he will need a patient and experienced groomer who is happy to work at his pace.
Poppy is a little more reserved initially and takes comfort from Ted’s presence, so it is important they remain together. Once she feels settled, she is a real cuddle bug. Despite her gentle nature, she enjoys getting out for walks, exploring, and keeping up with her “fur brother” Ted. Like Ted, she will also need regular grooming to maintain her beautiful coat.
Both Ted and Poppy walk nicely on the lead and have good social skills with other dogs.
They could potentially live with respectful children and may be able to share their home with other neutered dogs and resident cats, all subject to successful introductions at the centre.
Ted and Poppy share a strong bond and will be rehomed as a pair, as they truly rely on one another. They may be small, but they bring double the love and double the laughs.
They are looking for an active, loving home, ideally with someone who is home most of the time to help them settle in. Their new family should also be committed to continuing their training to help them adjust smoothly to their new lives.
