Sam is a young Yorkshire Terrier boy looking for a quiet, understanding home where he can continue building his confidence at his own pace.
When Sam arrived in our care, he was extremely shut down and slightly matted, clearly finding the world a very scary place. Despite this, he is making lovely progress every single day and slowly starting to show his sweet little personality.
He is beginning to enjoy his walks, is growing in confidence around new surroundings, and is starting to enjoy meeting new people, though he will still need ongoing support and patience while he learns that life can be safe and kind.
Sam would benefit from a home where someone is around most of the time to help him settle and continue his journey. He seems to have good social skills and would likely enjoy having calm canine friends around him to help build his confidence further.
As with most Yorkshire Terriers, Sam will require regular grooming and coat maintenance throughout his life to keep him comfortable and looking his best.
Underneath his worried little exterior is a gentle boy just waiting for the right person to help him truly shine.
