Meet Doreen

Doreen is a gorgeous little middle aged Chihuahua with a huge personality packed into her petite frame!

This sweet girl came to us as a stray and, despite having a bit of a rough start, she hasn’t let it dampen her spirits. Doreen arrived with fleas and sore skin, but after treatment and some lovely soothing baths, she is feeling so much better and is enjoying life again.

Doreen has now been seen by our vets, and she will require surgery to repair her luxating patellas. Her hips are also slightly unusual in shape, which may mean she is more likely to develop some arthritis as she gets older. However, there are lots of supportive supplements and things that can be done to help keep her comfortable and support her joints throughout her life. And honestly, Doreen couldn’t give a hoot!  None of this stops our little lady from getting on with life. She happily plods along, enjoys her walks, has lovely lead manners and absolutely loves spending time with people.

Doreen is a cheerful, affectionate little girl who takes life in her stride. She deserves a loving home where she can continue to enjoy herself, with a family who will support her through her surgery and recovery and make sure she stays happy and comfortable.

Doreen could potentially live with a suitable neutered dog, resident cats and children, all subject to careful introductions.

Her new family will need to be understanding of her veterinary needs and happy to follow the advice and guidance from our staff. In return, they’ll get a wonderful little companion who doesn’t let anything get in her way and has plenty of love, character and happiness to give.
