Please welcome to the hotel our newest handsome resident, Little Cooper, an aproxinately 9 year old Shih-tzu who wandered into a school and was brought into our care but was never claimed however, he is now ready to find his forever home.
On arrival, Cooper was understandably a bit worried and overwhelmed by his new environment however, he has since settled in and feeling a bit more at home.
Cooper enjoys nothing more than receiving love and attention from his new carers and will happily jump up into your lap for cwtches. It seems Cooper doesn’t understand the meaning of personal space when he’s established a bond with you.
Cooper has made many new volunteer friends who have enjoyed taking him out for nice long walks and on new adventures. He is a great walking companion who has shown lovely lead manners and interactions with other passing dogs.
Cooper would be best suited to an active adult only home with people who have good knowledge or breed experience.
Cooper is your typical Shih-tzu who can sometimes be a bit of a grumpy old man however, he communicates his feelings well when he is feeling uncomfortable. His new owners will need to be aware of this and able to respect his boundaries.
Due to his breed, his new owners will therefore need to understand and be committed to his daily grooming and general maintenance needs to ensure that he is kept happy and healthy.
Cooper could potentially live with another neutered resident dog and dog savvy cats. This will all be based on controlled introductions done here at the centre.
