Meet Bess – Our Bright-Eyed Jack Russell
Please welcome our newest resident, Bess — a charming 2-year-old Jack Russell who arrived in our care as a stray and is now ready to start her next chapter in a loving forever home.
When Bess first came to us, it was clear she had been neglected. She was suffering from a painful skin condition, but with the right treatment and care, she’s now healing beautifully. Her skin is under control, she’s much more comfortable, and her happy little personality is shining through.
Despite her rocky past, Bess has taken kennel life in her stride. She has a sweet, affectionate nature and loves gentle strolls with her volunteer friends while she continues her recovery.
Once fully healed, Bess will make a wonderful companion for someone active who enjoys adventures and is ready to give her all the love and care she deserves. She would benefit from joining obedience classes to help her learn some basic skills, and she’d absolutely thrive in a Terrier sport to keep her mind and body happily engaged.
Bess could potentially live with resident neutered dogs, dog-savvy cats, and sensible children who will respect her space. All potential matches will be introduced carefully here at the centre to ensure a happy fit.
Bess is ready for her fresh start — could you be the one to give her the forever home she’s been waiting for?
